Sometimes, when I walk the towpath, I walk past a swan with an the attitude, captured here in the watercolour print. I wanted to capture it’s superior attitude to human intruders to it’s canal. The background wash provides a watery tone to the painting and although the swan is trying to look regal, it’s cumbersome stance depicts a vulnerability.
