I’ve painted a tender stem of tiny bell-shaped blossoms, bending gently across the painting, with a luminous backdrop of gold and green. The flowers, pure white and slightly translucent, dangle gracefully and the entire painting has a gentle, almost dreamlike quality, the gold and green wash lending a subtle warmth to the fragile beauty of the lily of the valley.
